RUEDA CROWNED 2025 MOTO3 WORLD CHAMPION

Mandalika, Indonesia – October 5, 2025.

Spanish rider José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) captured the 2025 Moto3 World Championship in stunning fashion, winning a chaotic and rain-disrupted race at the Mandalika Circuit. The 19-year-old from Seville clinched both the Indonesian GP victory and the season title — with four rounds remaining.

▪ Chaos, Penalties, and a Champion’s Calm

The race was packed with drama: several crashes, multiple penalties, and a red flag brought uncertainty to the outcome. Rueda initially dropped positions after the start but kept his composure, carving through the field as conditions stabilized.

A key moment came when Adrián Fernández received two Long Lap Penalties, reshuffling the top order. Shortly afterward, the race was red-flagged due to worsening conditions, and results were frozen at that point — handing Rueda the win and the championship.

"It’s unbelievable,” Rueda said after the race. “There were times I doubted myself, but I never gave up. This title belongs to my family and my team.”

Rueda’s 2025 campaign was one of the most dominant in recent Moto3 history. His record includes:

- 9 victories

- 13 podiums

- 5 pole positions

- 4 fastest laps

He sealed the championship with four rounds to go, giving the Red Bull KTM Ajo team its fourth Moto3 world title. His consistency, pace, and maturity earned praise from across the paddock.

“José showed exceptional race craft all season,” said team principal Aki Ajo. “He deserves every bit of this success.”
